Abstract
Aneurysms are the most important acquired lesion of the thoracic aorta and result from a variety
of diseases and trauma. Thoracic aneurysms are far less common than abdominal aneurysm, however,
as the life span of population increase, the incidence and importance of both abdominal and thor
acic aneurysms are expected to increase. Recently we have experienced an unusual case of leutic
thoracic aneurysms with association of chronic dissection. A clinical case was presented and etiologic
natures, diagnostic problems and methods of surgical and medical management of aneurysms involv
ing the thoracic aorta are reviewed.
